Frost Valley YMCA’s programs focus on building and maintaining healthy lifestyles and reflect the interests and needs of a dynamic community composed of an exciting mix of cultures, backgrounds, and abilities. Campers enjoy fitness while learning how it relates to their overall well-being, inside and out. At Frost Valley YMCA, campers enjoy swimming; soccer; and hiking on 6,000 acres. Individual and group activities encourage campers to make positive choices for themselves. Choices that will one day help make them strong, productive members in their respective communities. Campers are taught skills to develop self-esteem; good hygiene; personal and emotional safety; and the consequences of substance abuse. And most importantly, the camping community participates in activities designed to build trust, teamwork, and mutual understanding.
At Timber Lake we foster values of sharing, integrity, responsibility, and respect in a friendly, safe environment of fun. They learn to value others by being valued themselves. And they leave camp with memories that will last a lifetime. This is what we have been doing successfully for more than four decades. It is what Camp was always meant to be. A traditional, 8-week co-ed camp, Timber Lake is made up of two separate campuses; one for boys and one for girls, with campers ranging from 7 through 16 years old. Located in New York's Catskill Mountains, its 500 secluded acres are only 2 and ½ hours North of New York City and feature two private spring-fed lakes and an outstanding array of facilities.
Universal Camping is a unique wilderness, fine arts, academic and sports sleep away camp located in in the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York with beautiful, state of the art facilities with exquisite pine log dormitories with modern baths and an atmosphere of kindness and caring. Campers develop a rewarding esprit-de-corps as they work together to learn more about Nature that is magnificently spread out around them panoramically with Catskill Mountain splendor. Friendships they find are long lasting and the feelings deep with fond memories. The activities include Swimming, Martial Arts, Field Sports, Track and wilderness skill training; Music, Drama, Crafts and Art; intriguing trips like Howe Caverns & Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Camp Lakota is a private, residential, co-ed camp located in the scenic Catskill Mountains of New York. Our facilities and programs include swimming pools, boating and water skiing on our fresh water lake, sports, outdoors and nature, arts and crafts, theater, dance, trips, & more.
